One year has past
since the earthquake hit Japan
on 11th of March, 2011.
I hope everything is moving forward
and everyone is feeling better and better...
I pray for them everyday
with lots and lots of love.
Minnie.

Addition!
Today (13/03), we just received an email from the
Australian Red Cross.
And there was some really good news about
how Red Cross is helping people using our donation!
And I'd like to share some of them with you!
- Red Cross has built two temporary hospitals in Miyagi Prefecture.
- Almost 53,000 prefabricated houses have now been completed across 7 prefectures.
With Australian Red Cross assistance Japanese Red Cross has been able to:
- Install water tanks and electrical appliances in evacuation centres.
- Provide 128,000households living in transitional shelter with appliances such as stoves, fridges and heaters.
- Distribute over 900 nursing/ medical beds and community vehicles to transport elderly and frail people.
- Provide school medical clinics, fit out school kitchens, provide recreational equipment and school buses.
- Vaccinate the elderly against pneumonia.
- Construct night time medical clinics and rebuilt damaged ones.
- Establish a disaster medical centre and pre-position disaster medical equipment.
And they're still supporting thousands of people
who were evacuated as a result of of the nuclear incident.
I'm so glad Red Cross sends emails like this
to tell us what our donation has been used for!
Thank you ever so much for reading this post.
I'm sorry it is not related to nails.
If you're still reading to this point,
you're my true pal and I love you so much!!!!

Hm, I haven't received an email like this, but it's still good to know what they used the money for.
Actually, I'm a bit surprised how little media covered the first anniversary of the big catastrophe here in Germany. But I guess it was to be expected...
I still want to go back to Japan though.
You are such a beautiful person Minnie, thank you for posting this update! It's so good to know that our donations are stil doing good!
